How the game works
Dots is a two-player territory game on a 30 × 30 grid. Players alternate placing one dot at an empty intersection. Your dots can connect across, down or diagonally to close a boundary around active enemy dots.
When a boundary closes, every opposing dot inside counts as one captured point and the empty intersections in that captured area leave play. A dot placed inside an area your opponent has already enclosed is captured at once.
Each player has a separate clock that runs only on their turn. The standard setup gives each player five minutes and adds five seconds after a move. If the grid fills or either clock expires, the player with more captures wins. Equal scores draw.
